As revealed by the report, the quality of life in European cities is the best place to reside. Cardiff in the UK is considered the best place to live for immigrants in European countries, with a score of 95 per cent.
More than 95 per cent of residents said that a British city is a good place for residing for immigrants, LGBTIQ people, older people, and families with children. However, Lisbon in Portugal has secured the second position with a score of five per cent less than Cardiff.
The report further justified that non-capital cities are often considered better living places. Foreign-born people suffer from the quality of local-level policies and are most likely to be unemployed and live in overcrowded facilities. On average, the report further reveals that three out of four residencies, equivalent to 73 per cent, have agreed that European cities are best. Northern cities are best for immigrants-79% whereas eastern countries scored less, 67%.
Spanish and Portuguese cities are most favourable as 84 per cent of residents considered the city the best place to reside.
Gdansk in Poland, Barcelona in Spain, Tyneside conurbation in the United Kingdom, and Hamburg in Germany were ranked fifth, sixth, seventh, and eighth, respectively, with a percentage score of 87 per cent each.
