The top 5 nations for Skilled Immigrants to Australia have been revealed by the Australian Bureau of Statistics and the list is topped by India with 19%. England and China are in the second and third position with 13% and 12% respectively. This report identifies the source nations for 2 million Skilled Immigrants to Australia since 2000.

The Australian Bureau of Statistics report also reveals that more than 50% of these are purchasing or trying to purchase own houses. Australia had around 2.2 million PR immigrants in 2016. These had arrived between 2000 and 2016 as per the Migrants Integrated Dataset and Australian Census 2016.
The ABS report collates data obtained from the Social Services Department in Australia and 2016 Census, as quoted by the News Com AU. It observed that 1.2 million or 58% of individuals had been granted the Australia Skilled Visas. 683,603 individuals or 32% arrived via the Family Class Visas. Just 214,656 or 10% arrived through the Humanitarian Visas.
The source nations for the immigrants have also been identified by the report. India was the top-ranked nation when it comes to Australia Skilled Visas followed by England and China. For the Family Class immigrants, China was the top-ranked nation followed by England and India.
