The UK Immigration proposed to increase the health surcharges from Jan 16th, 2024, or 21 days after receiving the proposal. The primary health surges will increase from £624 per year to £1,035 annually. For students under 18, the surcharges will increase from £470 per year to £776 per year. The visit visa got costlier by £15 for stays under six months, totaling £115.
Student visa applications saw an increase of £127 for applicants from outside the UK, making the total fee £490 aligned with the in-country student visa. If the applications were submitted before the implication, the charge surcharge won’t apply. The skilled worker and global business mobility visa applications can be submitted up to three months before the individual proposal date.
This increase in health surcharges will affect individuals and organizations to plan accordingly about visa applications.
