· USCIS has introduced the revised edition of Form I-765 and Form I-589

· The country will be adapting the July 26 editions effective on November 7, 2022

· The USCIS has released the modified editions of Form I-765 and Form I-589 as per the decision of Asylumworks

Overview:

The District Court of the United States has removed two of the rules that have been dated June 22 and June 26 of 2020, for the District of Columbia. These two rules were withdrawn on February 7, 2022, and the USCIS has discontinued them since February 8, 2022.

The USCIS will be adapting the July 26 editions of Form I-765 and Form I-589, effective on November 7, 2022. Up till then, you will be able to submit the previous editions or the new editions.

Revised I-589 Form

The United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) introduced the revised edition of the application for Withholding of Removal and Asylum (Form I-589), and the application for Employment Authorization on July 26, 2022.

The USCIS will be adapting the July 26 editions of Form I-765 and Form I-589, effective on November 7, 2022. Up till then, you will be able to submit the previous editions or the new editions.

  • Form I-765 from the dates (May 31, 2022, or August 25, 2020)
  • Form I-589 dated (August 25, 2020)

The date, along with its important instructions for the edition, is found at the end of the application page. It is crucial to be aware of the information that is provided in the previous editions since it may have information that could be expired or outdated.

USCIS completes FY 2023 H-1B visa selection process

The District Court of the United States has removed two of the rules that have been dated June 22 and June 26 of 2020, for the District of Columbia. These two rules were withdrawn on February 7, 2022, and the USCIS has discontinued them since February 8, 2022.

The two eradicated rules are:

  • The 30-day application processing of the Form I-765 Employment Authorization that is Asylum Applicant-Related dated June 22, 2022
  • The final rule of Asylum Application, Interview, and Employment Authorization to the asylum applicants dated June 26, 2022

The USCIS has stopped applying the two rules that are mentioned above and started using 8 CFR §§ 208 and 274a to the pending applications that have been received on or after February 8, 2022.

On the decision of Asylumworks, USCIS has released the modified editions of Form I-765 and Form I-589.
