In a new measure announced around US immigration processes, the USCIS will consider extending the time that is given to applicants to respond to certain document requests and requirements like:
The new measure giving extended flexibility will assist petitioners, applicants, and requestors. It applies to the documents if the date of issuance listed on the request decision or notice falls between March 1, 2020, and Jan 1, 2021 (both dates inclusive).
USCIS will take up a response to the above notices and requests that are received within 60 calendar days after the due date of response set in the notice or request. Only if this period is exceeded without response, will appropriate action be taken.
USCIS will also consider Form I-290B or Form N-336 received within 60 calendar days. This will be from the due date of the decision before appropriate action is taken.
