Victoria opens Australia PR Visa nomination for skilled overseas workers

Victoria has opened Australia PR Visa nomination for skilled overseas workers. It is now accepting applications for Subclass 190 Nominated Skilled Visa and Subclass 489 Regional Skilled Provisional Visa.

The SOL – Skilled Occupations List for Victoria remains unchanged as of now, as quoted by the SBS. A fresh application process will be applied to select occupations. This includes Nursing, Engineering, and Building. This will be similar to the process being followed for ICT Occupations.

As per the new process, the applicant has to select Victoria as the State and file an EOI. They will then undergo the process of EOI. If their application caters to the requirements, they will receive an e-mail from Victoria to apply for the State sponsorship. They must file the online application for the sponsorship within 2 weeks.

The occupation lists for the nomination of the Australia PR Visa are developed after consultation with the industry and extensive research. This is to ensure that the prospective immigrants get accurate information for starting life fresh in Victoria.

The SOLs for Victoria is also endorsed by the Department of Home Affairs through the State Migration Agreement with Victoria. Only select occupations qualify for visa nomination from Victoria. Each SOL will have details of the unique requirements to be fulfilled to apply for specific jobs.
