Victoria University in Australia has announced that the fee for assessment of Trade Occupations has been revised. This will be applicable for assessment of occupations under Temporary Skills Shortage TSS Visa and OSAP program. Australia Permanent Migration applications fall under the Offshore Skills Assessment Program.

A new 330$ fee for government administration will be applicable for all fresh TRS and OSAP/TSS applications. It is inclusive of GST, as quoted by the SBS. This will not be applicable upon the receipt of the application but when the file is registered to be ‘Decision Ready’.

Nominated Occupations that do not need Australian Occupational Licensing are categorized as Non Licensed. Those that require AOL are categorized as Licensed. These include General – Electrician, Special Class – Electrician, General – Plumber, and Refrigeration and Air‐conditioning Mechanic.

The Trades Recognition Australia of the Government of Australia has endorsed Victoria University. It has authorized the Victoria University to perform skills assessment. This includes RSMS, ENS, and GSM Visas under Permanent Migration and Temporary Work Visas.

Your accessible skills must be assessed by an accredited authority as a part of your Australia Visa application. This is for assessing your ability to live and work in the nation. The assessment of skills is based on a structural and formal appreciation of prior learning.

You will receive a non-licensed trade’s Australian qualification if successful. Alternatively, OTSR - Offshore Technical Skills Record for licensed trade can also be issued.
