Warrnambool in Australia announces new DAMA SOL

The Warrnambool City Council in the state of Victoria has released its new Skilled Occupation List under the Designated Area Migration Agreement (DAMA). 27 occupations have been made available to cater to the business needs of the Great South Coast Area. Majority of the occupations belong to the hospitality and agriculture sector. Here is the list of occupations released by Warrnambool:

1. 721111- Agricultural and Horticultural Mobile Plant Operator
2. 311111- Agricultural Technician
3. 321111- Automotive Electrician
4. 121312- Beef Cattle Farmer
5. 141111- Café or Restaurant Manager
6. 351311-Chef
7. 323211- Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Machinist
8. 351411- Cook
9. 070499- Dairy Cattle Farm Operator
10. 321212- Diesel Motor Mechanic
11. 721211- Earthmoving Plant Operator
12. 323212- Fitter and Turner
13. 141311- Hotel and Motel Manager
14. 711211- Industrial Spray Painter
15. 831211- Meat Boners and Slicers
16. 831311- Meat Process Worker
17. 322311- Metal Fabricator
18. 121216- Mixed Crop Farmer
19. 121317- Mixed Livestock Farmer
20. 721999- Mobile Plant Operators nec
21. 321211- Motor Mechanic (General)
22. 312912- Non-destructive Testing (NDT) Technician

24. 839312- Product Quality Controller (Meat Grader)

The below 13 occupations will be given concession on the English Language requirement:

1. 721111- Agricultural and Horticultural Mobile Plant Operator

4. 351411- Cook
5. 070499- Dairy Cattle Farm Operator
6. 321212- Diesel Motor Mechanic
7. 323212- Fitter and Turner

9. 831311- Meat Process Workers
10. 322311- Metal Fabricator
11. 321211- Motor Mechanic (General)
12. 831212- Slaughterer
13. 733111- Truck Driver (General)

However, there will be just 100 visa places for these 13 occupations in the first year, as per SBS News. The DAMA will provide the Subclass 482 (Temporary Skill Shortage) Visa to eligible applicants. Once they meet the conditions of the DAMA, they can proceed to file for Permanent Residence in the future.
