Visa Solutions from Australia’s #1 Visa Consultancy

A visa is a legal document which allows the holder to enter a foreign country as legal migrant. Visa stands for Visitors International Stay Admission and is a global electronic system used by governments. Visas are usually stamped on the passport of the bearer.

Types of Visa

Depending on the purpose of your travel, each country offers several types of visas. The major types of visas usually offered by most of the countries are listed below:

Visit/ Tourist Visa

These are non-immigrant visas issued to people who are willing to visit a foreign country for tourism purposes. There can be various types of visitor visas based on the purpose of your visit.

Study Visa

International students willing to study abroad require a study visa to migrate and reside in that country. There can be a variety of student visas depending on the country and the course you enroll.

Work Visa

Work visas allow foreign workers to migrate and work in a foreign country. Generally, there are two types of work visas: temporary and permanent. While the temporary work visa has to be renewed after expiry, a permanent work visa allows the candidates to work in that country permanently. Most work visas, such as the ones in Australia and Canada, offer a temporary residence permit, which can be converted to a permanent residence permit upon eligibility.

Business Visa

A business visa allows entrepreneurs and business people to visit a foreign country for trade and business purposes. This visa allows you to participate in meetings, attend business conferences, and look for new business ventures and opportunities.

Investor visa

Investor visas are issued to encourage people with foreign investment programs abroad. Investors willing to buy or invest in business ventures can apply for this visa to migrate and reside in that country. Some countries, like Portugal, Spain, Malta, and Hungary, offer residence via investment programs. These programs offer a golden opportunity to gain permanent residency through investment and are, therefore, often named golden visa programs.

Dependent visa

A dependent visa allows you to join your family members who are living in a foreign country for studies or work purposes. Spouses, partners, children, and parents can be considered dependents, and lawful migrants can sponsor them to the country of their current residence for a limited period of time.
