You must meet the following criteria to be eligible for a National Innovation visa (subclass 858) visa:

Note: Every year this figure is adjusted on July 1.

  • Recent Ph.D. graduate in the target sectors for National Innovation (subclass 858) Visa
  • The current salary revealed through a contract/payslip for National Innovation (subclass 858) Visa

About nominators

A nominator is a person/organization who has completed the application form attesting the information about an applicant for a Subclass 858 visa. Your nominator has to possess a national reputation in Australia in the same field as yours. Besides the opinion of the Australian public/industry community about the nominator being a leader, with a record of excellence in their field, they are also required to be one of the following:
