(2) IEC through a Recognized Organization (RO)
IEC offers three distinct pools of travel and work experiences in which an individual can be entitled to more than one pool.
Step-by-Step Process to Apply for IEC Canada
You will have to fill out the “Come to Canada” form, which will give you a reference code for you alone. You must use an IRCC account.
STEP 2: Profile submission and Canada work permit application
Register your profile and pick the IEC pool that best fits you. Candidates who get an ITA through IRCC must wait ten days before starting their application process. You will have twenty days to complete and submit your application once the process begins. (Applicable only for Young Professional and Co-op categories). The candidate’s employer would be required to pay compliance for 20 days. The fee can be paid via the Employer portal. Upon the completion of the fee payment, the employer is liable to send the employment number along with an offer, which is applicable only for the Young Professional and Co-op categories.
STEP 3: Biometrics
After applying, a BIL (biometric instruction letter) will be delivered to the candidate through the IRCC registered account. Upon receiving the BIL, the candidate gets a 30-day period to submit biometrics at a VAC (Canada visa application center).
STEP 4: IEC Work Permit Assessment
The assessment usually takes over 45 days. Documents like a Port of Entry letter would be sent to the applicant’s account by the IRCC. The employment confirmation letter and the Port of Entry letter should be carried with the individual to Canada.
STEP 5: Travel to Canada
You can take off to Canada post to receive the approval letter.
