Latest Express Entry Draw invites 1040 candidates to apply for Canada PR

Express Entry Draw held on 23rd Jan 2024:

In 2015, Express Entry Draw was introduced. Express Entry Draw is an application management system that helps process economic immigration candidates in the Federal Skilled Worker Program, the Canadian Experience Class, and the Federal Skilled Trades Program.

 

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) held the first draw of 2024 on 10th Jan. The previous Express Entry Draw invited 1510 candidates through the general draw. Candidates needed a minimum score of 546.

 

In 2023, December was a busy month, where IRCC invited candidates through seven separate Express Entry Draws. Two were programs drawn, and the remaining five were category-based draws for Express Entry candidates who met the eligibility criteria for French Language proficiency and trades, transport, STEM, agriculture and agri-food occupations.

 

However, in 2023, IRCC held 42 Express Entry Draws. Out of these, nineteen draws were general, and 17 were category-based selection draws. Lastly, five were nominated through the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP), and one draw was for federally skilled workers.

Once an Express Entry Candidate receives an ITA, they have 60 days to submit their final application for permanent resident status in IRCC.
